Care
Together we build a brighter future, in the Care market and with the Care market.
Prospect: the Care market will get stuck
Developments in the Care market show that care is becoming stuck on all fronts: we all get older, the number of chronically ill people increases, fewer staff are qualified and the sector as a whole is not interconnected enough to achieve improvements together. These are some of the developments in the Netherlands:
- In 2040 25% of the Dutch will be 65 years old or older (aging population)
- An unhealthy lifestyle will lead to 50% being chronically ill in 2015 (increased illness)
- Anticipated labour shortage (aging population and younger workforce)
- Changing customer demands; increased need for transparency and quality
- Perverted incentives with regard to financing, continuous increase in the cost of care
- Far-reaching bureaucracy, including legislation
The government anticipates without vision
Through review committees the Cabinet researched how 20% cost savings can be achieved in the Care sector in the near future. Sadly a so-called cheese slice method was applied in these proposals and they lack a clear vision. Depending on the coalition discussions, the new Cabinet will choose to invest or make cuts in the sector.
&samhoud creates value for the employee, customer and organization
&samhoud’s integrated approach to change leads to care that is both high in quality and costs less in combination with proud and satisfied professionals and customers. How? By changing in a disciplined fashion based on a vision and a strategy, by preparing executives to communicate the change and linking fun to performance.
&samhoud believes in the creation of value. Right now the Care sector is facing huge challenges and, despite their complexity, each party can make major steps to add value to customers and employees. &samhoud’s philosophy is based on the Value Profit Chain. The Value Profit Chain has been developed at Harvard Business School. This model demonstrates that employee value, customer value and financial value influence and reinforce each other. Highly motivated, loyal and productive employees lead to increased value for customers, which in turn results in higher financial value. It’s a self-reinforcing cycle of success.
