&samhoud and Society

Breakthroughs in society are just as essential to us as the breakthroughs we achieve with our clients. In our experience business and society are closely connected. They have a great deal of influence on each other. In addition, both citizens and employees are all human beings. And it is people who make the difference, who take initiative, who care for each other and stand up for ideals. You could say that &samhoud is simply an organization, a group of entrepreneurial people, for whom business and society are linked and should become more connected. Through our business and through the &foundation we have initiated community projects ourselves and also support existing projects.

Our employees educate school children aged 10-12 about connection in a two-hour lesson offered to schools free of charge. Children learn what it means to be connected with yourself (knowing what you want and knowing what you’re good at), and also what connection with others involves (showing interest, being open and giving compliments and tips). The lesson includes group discussions, an individual exercise, videos, a board game and of course the blue ball of connection.

Lessons are currently given in The Netherlands, but our intention is to roll out the program in other countries too in due course. Watch this space for further updates.
