Achieving breakthroughs
You achieve breakthroughs by inspiring and connecting people. That is what we do. That is how it is described in our higher goal. A breakthrough is a lasting improvement of customer value, employee value, shareholder value and community value.
The reason why we do that is described in the other part of our higher goal: Together we build a brighter future. We help people in organizations to acquire new insights and to develop the responsibility needed to actually act based on these insights, within the framework of the organization’s vision.
Not only do we approach organizational questions in an integrated fashion, we also always place them in the larger context. In that way we connect change processes and solutions directly to meaning. So it’s a holistic approach.
Creating ownership by inspiring and connecting people
A fundamental approach to change begins with connection. The &-sign in our logo connects us with our clients, but also promises a close partnership. We connect ourselves with the whole organization; through a participative process we work both top-down and bottom-up. We pay a lot of attention to experience, which promotes the realization of breakthroughs. By inspiring people in organizations to connect themselves, we create ownership in line management and stimulate organizations to focus more and more on building their own skills.
Value Profit Chain
Our approach is based on the Value Profit Chain developed at Harvard Business School. It is literally about the value exchange between employees, customers and the organization. Employees add value to customers who in turn add value to the organization. Profit is partly re-invested in employees and partly in society.

How do you achieve breakthroughs?
A breakthrough at an organizational level is realized by taking a number of steps. We call this the Chain of Change.
- Mobilization of energy: people feel that things must change, a sense of urgency and excitement is stoked up.
- First who, then what: a guiding coalition is set up that can and wants to take the lead.
- Vision and strategy: a vision and strategy are developed together that will guide everything.
- Activation and anchoring: the vision and strategy have been set to work and anchored in the organizational culture.
