Why do some organisations get AI adoption right and others don’t? 
For the third year running, we researched AI adoption among the working population in the Netherlands. The 2026 insights show just how large the differences have become. A selection of the findings:

  • The gap between frontrunners and laggards is widening: 72% use AI at work, but only 9% truly harness it in depth.
  • Time savings can reach 80+ minutes a day, but this is usually immediately filled with more work.
  • Organisations that invest in people and organisation have 4x more ‘deep users’.
  • And strikingly: it’s the frontrunners who worry most about their jobs.

In short: AI is no longer about technology, but about how people and organisations work with it.
